I'm sorry, Valentino is NOT my favorite driver, not the one I love. But what the Spanish guys did last Sunday was really bad.
Never, I said "NEVER" seen a top driver crying as LORENZO... He want to win anyways...
I really hope that the other driver will open a line on start...!!

I'm a Rossi fan but his problem was self-inflicted. If Marquez had been violating rules of racing and etiquette Moviestar should have filed legitimate complaints through channels set up for that and let FIM take care of it. Instead he let Marquez get in his head and he demonstrated poor sportsmanship at Sepang for all to see. I really couldn't believe it when I saw it. Rossi has done more for the sport than anyone with his colorful personality and accessibility but at present his legacy is tarnished and I feel for him.

Max Biaggi probably laughed loudest.

Very good article indeed.

I'm both a Rossi and Marquez fan.

To me, this was Rossi playing mind games and unfortunately for him - getting beat at his own games.

I personally don't care if there's an unwritten rule about letting the championship contenders fight it out. That may be true if you're a mid-pack racer, but if you're Marquez and you know you can battle your RIVAL, you will. This only more true when that rival decides to go on the offensive and talk a bunch of smack about you because he doesn't like that you're making his life difficult.

To me, it's simple. If Rossi doesn't like being held up (if that's actually happening) by Marquez, or anyone else for that matter, then he needs to pass him and have the speed to get away from them. If he doesn't have the pace to get away, he has no one else to blame but himself. This entitled notion -- and it's not just Rossi with it -- that somehow, because he's fighting for the championship, that people shouldn't make it difficult for him? I'm sorry, that's BS. This is racing, in racing you need to beat every single one of your opponents to win. If those opponents are faster than you, or are your rivals and are trying to defeat you, that's when you need to rise up and beat them.

Rossi couldn't at Sepang, and he knew it. So he lost his cool and shit the bed. He ruined what could have been one of the best races in the past decade for the fans to watch. He intentionally stopped racing, so he could teach Marquez a lesson about etiquette, when quite frankly, no one but Rossi and his fan-boy's care about "etiquette." It's racing.

Personally, I think Rossi should have been disqualified from the race and received 0 points. It was a sad day and I lost a little bit of respect for Rossi when it happened.

As far as Lorenzo, he's calling it like it is. When Rossi calls it like it is, everyone cheers. When Lorenzo says that Rossi was out of line, people are mad at him and acting as if he wants to be given the championship. I don't like Lorenzo, not one bit, but he is not wrong by calling out Rossi, and he has earned the championship this year. With more wins, plenty of podiums, and no penalty points to show for it.

We need also not forget that Rossi, over the past 2 races, has also confronted Dani Pedros and Andrea Iannone about racing him as hard as they were. He was upset that they were getting in the way of his championship by requiring him to push so hard, and possibly crash.

I'm sorry, but to me, it's apparent. Rossi knows this may be his best last chance at another title, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to win. Only this time, perhaps for the first time in his career, he miscalculated with his mind games when he called out Marquez.

All the armchair quarterbacks who think that Marquez intentionally trying to beat Rossi, not only for his own personal gain but to make Rossi lose the championship, are acting ridiculous. I race, not for a living but for fun; But even then, if I am not able to win my class championship, if my rival is in a close battle with someone else that is not my direct rival, I have always made it my goal to beat that person. Hence, the rivalry.

It was a sad day for MotoGP racing for all involved; Rossi, Dorna, Mike Webb, Marquez and the fans who apparently have forgotten what makes racing so amazing to watch. The Racing!

Remember, this is Speed Racing.
Tactic moves to avert or obstruct enemy riders when fighting for best line are permitted up to a subjectively "not too-much" point.
Strategic constant pass-and-block again and again is out of the spirit of what Speed Racing is and should always be under scrutiny to save the spirit of Speed Racing.

MM has been strategically and intentionally messing with VR instead of going full out podium hunting after passing the old goat as he clearly had the rhythm to do it.
VR may have gone Zinedine Zidane (almost) and this is punishable behavior but lack of any penalty on MM is a scandal, even more so if you consider the all the too-reckless moves MM has been doing over the last 2 seasons that has caused accidents to others without any penalties by race direction.
In order to please us, DORNA has permitted constant too offensive riding lead mainly by MM for the last seasons.
REPSOL has gone as far as stating VR kicked MM down while it is obvious from certain camera angles that VR overreacts on MM's head forcibly touching against his leg.
Lorenzo's reactions have been all too strange if you count them down too.
The whole story has too much spanish intrigue ingredients, companies and persons... But I am not suggesting anything like this although it has come up on various conversations over here and I cannot lightly dismiss it as a theory...

The bottom line is: We do not this sh#t....

the bill has been in the mail for a while with Rossi. the bill arrived...

I can't stand Marquez, but as standing champion, and frankly as anyone who qualified for the race, he has the right to say, "you want 3rd? you will have to beat me to get it."

Funny but no one noticed Marquez playing games with VR, at least not until Rossi brought it up at Thursday's press conference. I found his accusations hard to believe then and hard to believe now.
I was very skeptical at the ease that MM got so fast back to number one position winning the Oz race. I was pretty sure that he had the speed but did not want to use it maybe playing mind games with VR and this gave the flaming Ianonne that tremendous "souvlaki" pass of both of them at which time he got tired of the game. I was very wary of how his tyres just got reborn... But no one said anything so I did not think of it any more in the later days until VR brought it up.

All could have been so much easier for anyone if the obviously faster MM just got passed VR in the same way VR got passed Max Biaggi way back then - we would just still be laughing instead of talking of the sh#tgames played in Sepang.

Not that I reeeeally care one way or the other, and to be honest I kinda like both of those guys as far as entertaining humans with incredible skill, but to me it did seem like MM was being a little bit coy and not quite truthful with his innocence about things from the previous race leading up to this one, and VR was suspicious enough to let it really ruffle him.

Both then went into Sepang with totally more of an agenda against each other, than with the race itself. MM playing it up a bit and poking VR.

MM *tease* *tease* *tease* "Whaat? Who me?" *headbutt*

VR *SNARL!*

MM "Auuuugh!" *crash*

lol

once Rossi goes so will the fans.
Rossi was the reason that got me and my wife interested in the GP's.
we started to like mm but after this nah.
in the beginning georg tried to to be like Rossi kissing the ground/flags and all but it didn't work.
what he did on the podium was disgraceful thumbs down and walking off.
you don't do that sort of thing nor slag your team mate.
and what about Danny he wasn't involve in all this so he should of showed at least to Danny.
I for one would love to see Danny to win the world championship.
mm did cause Danny to crash after he clash with(broke the sensor or something)
braked while Danny was up his *** and cause him to go wide, he done many a times diving the corner even though theres no room other than forcing the other rider to go wide. he gung ho in the racing world, like Rossi said its all or nothing with mm.
as for geog he got told off for what he did on the podium and what he said to the press by Lin Jarvis.
so now rumours are flying around that he may get kicked out of the team but like I say just rumours.
here...

I call BS on the article. More anti-Lorenzo shit that doesn't survive examination. Rossi may be done after this year, but most certainly after next. Lorenzo is the fasted rider in the world this year. No way they send him packing. Could you imagine what he could do on the Ducati? The Honda?

As far as the Rossi fans leaving MotoGP after all this? I'm ok with that.

All I hear from Rossi fans is that because Marquez (supposedly) intentionally went out in the race with the intention of making Rossi's life difficult, he's an *** and shouldn't be racing. They sound like entitled spoiled brats.

If I have an arch rival who talks shit about me, you can bet your sweet *** that I'm going to do everything in my power to make his race as tough as possible. Even more so if I have nothing to lose.

If Rossi fans can't understand that, then they aren't a true motor sports fan anyway and they can move on as far as I'm concerned.

Now, my personal opinion is its just convenient to yell and whine right now and by the middle of next year it'll be back to normal - and same when Rossi leaves.

I bet those same fans thought Rossi pushing wide past Stoner and passing him in the dirt was totally acceptable too, and in fact it was probably Stoners fault for being in the way. Blind loyalty is no good. Be objective.

I'm a Rossi fan. A Marquez fan. A Pedrosa fan and I don't like Lorenzo. That said, I can call BS when I see BS. Rossi played stupid games in the press conference and then played an even dumber game in the race, and he won a stupid prize for it.
