Haven't been online in a long while but I'm excited to report that I'm both almost debt free as well as a pink slip holder of my 2014 NC700 DCT. Loving the bike and excited to have paid it off in only 8 months of 100% financed.

Woo hoo!!!!! :) Might have to celebrate with a farkle or two since I only have a tall windshield so far and a Ram mount for my phone.

It is a good feeling. I normally trade them before they are paid off but this one is paid off. Trying to convince the wife into having another payment. LOL

If you're talking debt free as far as the bike goes, that's good.
If you're talking DEBT FREE, that's great!

Either way, congrats!

Totally Debt Free after July 16th. I tackled $7000 in credit card debt. I tackled a few thousand on my Honda S2000 before selling it. And paid off the $9600 I spent total on a brand new NC all in one year. My girlfriend also tackled a few thousand on her car to pay it off and a few thousand in credit cards as well. We'll both be debt free and saving as fast as possible for a Home. We want a decent size down payment before pulling the trigger.

Nothing says "DEBT FREE" like saving up so you can take on one of the largest loans in your life ;)

I'm in the middle of refinancing the house, took us 2 hours in sitting with the lady at the bank so far, probably another hour tonight. We'll be saving something like $60k by doing it, told my wife we are making $10k an hour for signing paper work... (payout starts in ~2030 and is spread over ~10 years)

it is nice not to owe out.congrats.

not had any debt for donkey years.
but at 64 nearly I shouldn't have any.
everything we have house, bike, car is all paid for.

My NCX loan is my one and only debt, so I don't begrudge it. I am indeed paying a hideous amount more than the bike is worth of course, due to interest and the addition of the un-paid for portion of my BMW that I traded in for the Honda, but having no other bills beside rent and generic living expenses, meh, no overt hand wringing from me.

I get 275.00/month worth of enjoyment and soothing mental therapy out of my bike, so it's all good. ;)

I decided to buy my 750X with Honda finance with monthly payments because it was an interest free deal at the time. Allowing for my part ex and small deposit, I borrowed around £4200, which is exactly the amount I will have paid back at the end of the term. Why take money out of savings that is earning interest when an offer like that is available? It was a no-brainer.

And we are now mortgage free (is that what you call it in N America?) and our house is our own from last month.
