Mine came with the Dunlop Trailmax D609s, from what I can find online they are the OEM tire for the new 750s.
Cannot find much info aside from them handling well but burning off pretty quickly, I picked 95 road 5 off as I think they still consider it a dual sport tire.

Anybody try the Kenda K761?

I have ran the Kenda Big Block on the rear. In the dirt they are one of the best, but on the asphalt slow way down in the rain. Last year at a red light in the hill county I slid right pass gboswellsac. Sure glad he is a experience rider, and I did not scare him. I have read on ADV that the K761 has the same problems in the rain.

Avon Storm 3D X-M

Haven't seen them mentioned in this thread. 100% street tire, made for heavier bikes (1300 - 1400cc).

I ran Avon Storm 2 Ultras on my ST1300, and they were nice and grippy. Don't remember how many miles I got on them, but I rode that bike hard also. The tires wore very slowly, and they didn't lose much grip in the rain.

I mounted the Storm 3D's on my NC about the time that I made my suspension mods, front and rear --- so the bike is now tracking much better on rough roads and curves. Hopefully that'll help the tires to last longer than they would have with the stock suspension. I love these tires --- I'm hoping that they last a long time.

I think that I paid about $280 for the set, delivered in two days by Motorcycle Superstore. Installed them at a friend's house, so no mounting charge. I need to get one of those No-Mar tire changers one day ... they are nice.

Shinko is apparently making a 705 in our front size. I just ordered a front/rear set here:

Shinko 705 Motorcycle Tire - BikeBandit.com

Yes , the 120/70/17 front is a match for stock size...great news . thanks for the info..!
However , we still have to choose the 150/70/17 or 170/60/17 for the rear...?
Stock is 160/60/17...so not a perfect match...yet will work fine...
also Shinko 705 is a really good tire for the price....
I have used them for years on other bikes and they can handle the dirt roads and pavement ....
So which rear size did you go with...? Cheers

I went with the 150/70R-17 for the rear. The set cost $156 shipped and was delivered a week ago. Haven't mounted them yet.

Update - got them mounted. Here's what the Shinko 705 front looks like on the bike:

This is great news. Now I need to wear through the 130 front I've been wearing.

FYI When running a 150/70 on the rear, if you go up 1 tooth on the rear sprocket you get back to almost exact stock drive ratio.

I thought the 120 front for Shinko's was a tube tire. Motorcycle superstore always carried a 120 front but it was a tube tire. The 130 is the tubeless. I noticed Bike Bandits website doesn't specify which tire is which. Or maybe I'm missing something.

uugghh!!! no!!!!!

I checked Revzilla and they are listing the 120/70-17 as tube type and the 130/80-17 as tubeless, but the Shinko USA website is listing both as tube type...confused.

I know this has been answered but can you use a tube on the NC700X rim?

I believe it's possible, but I've never tried it. Just think I remember reading somewhere on here that it could be done.

The 705 120/70R-17 front I just installed is marked TUBELESS.

It appears the Bike Bandit site is offering more choices of the 705 than other retailers.
Some retailers do show the front tire for the NC.
