Ah, a new pot hole finder.
Ummm, it's not the falling down, it's the sudden stop that hurts.
Welcome from Washougal!
No worries, I don't care what I look like on my commute, just so I am warm and dry when I get there. I quit worring about what others think I look like when I got married, lol.
My every day commute has me driving 72 miles one way from SW Washington to Salem, Or. What I did was mount hand guards (minus the plastic wind deflector) and install these over the top of them.
Added some handlebar muffs for my rainy commute. These will stay on for the next 7 months as I rack up miles on my trip to work and back.
I have a 72 mile commute each way and when it rains it pours so I have my normal gear with a rain suit on top of that. Our office is casual, heck the president wears flip flops so I just wear my...
LOL, I think I might actually look like this explaining my commute to co-workers.
I bought never wet and put it on some boots. Did the water test and was impressed, water just bounced off. However, when I wore the boots while riding in the rain, I got to work and the never wet was...
Take my wife all the time, have done 300+ mile days...lots of stops though. Even with the Shad seat she still has to get off every 75-100 miles.
B-O-A-T = Break out another thousand!
I used them until I changed out my windshield to a Caltech. They stuck out far enough to hit so I had to take them off. Worked great though.
I purchased the same helmet and a day-glo vest from Cyclegear!
We have a winner!
Thanks all, I ended up getting the Cycle Hill from No-Mar. Looks to be a nice changer. Will get to try it out in within a month as I'm at about 9400 miles right now.
Buckshot, I didn't even think of the front disc while asking the question. Guess that answers that.
Another question. Been thinking about buying a set of spoke wheels or 2nd set of cast wheels(way too expensive) for the bike to mount dirt tires on. I ride a lot of miles on my commute and wanted a...
Thanks, thats good to know. I was looking at that one as well.
I'm racking up lots of miles on the bike and am thinking about getting a tire changer to do the job myself. I've been checking out the Cycle Hill (No mar) changer, looks pretty good. Any other...
I pulled up to a stop light, motorcycle cop pulled up next to me and asked about the bike. Smiled and said it was kind of gutless but carved up the corners pretty well. He chuckled.
Definitely up for meeting some local folks! From Washougal here.
That looks like a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Have fun!
Very cool, thanks for posting. I just bought 2 of the side ammo boxes for mine off ebay too.
