I remember having the pleasure of riding one of those bikes when they were new on the market. It was an exciting motorcycle made all the more so for the turbo lag under 4000 rpm. As soon as that mark was passed under full throttle there was some serious acceleration. However interestingly enough the GPZ1100 of the same year was marginally quicker over a quarter mile.
