As for removing the markings, anything ink based wipes off in seconds using Lysol spray disinfectant. I don't know what the solvent is, but it works magic on ink. It's a trick I learned back when grocery prices were stamped on cans using ink. We used a little Lysol spray when changing product prices (then put the Lysol can back on the shelf ).

Actually, looking again at the original post, I see dduelin put the clamp toward the FRONT of the bike and zipties at back. I may try that. It looks to make the tube sit a bit higher.

OK, here is it now with one clamp at the FRONT side of bike, one clamp at BACK side of bike (where it fit just barely) and zip ties in the other two back slots. Rocket booster configuration!

I switched the rear wingnuts to the tire side where it'll be more easily accessible with the Givi case back on. The other wingnut can't be tireside as its too close when unscrewing the cap.

I wouldn't mind another very long ziptie or clamp going under the tube securing it to the top bar of the rack. Another time.

My Lysol didn't work, but it was just the disinfectant spray. I assume there are stronger ones out there. The can DID fit in the tube.
