Which seat to get? Sergeant or Corbin???

I've had Corbins on many bikes but have heard they've gone to crap since they changed hands. Is this true? I need something with a good passenger seat for my Mrs. Thoughts?

    ^^^^^^ What he said^^^^^^

One cool thing about the NC is that the pass/pilot seats are separate. Do one pan or do both....Can have two completely different styles/designs....
    Happy with mine.

If you could come into Corbin's shop and have them fit it to your butt, they are much better than getting one buy mail. They will fit you they let you try it, then will adjust it's if not right before you leave. I think you get one more chance to get it fit latter!

    Neither.
When I put a Day Long saddle on my 04 ST1300 one saw many used of the above for sale but never any DL. By far the best in the day and assume still.

The problem with Corbin is their quality control sucks. I ordered a seat for my NC from Corbin and its pretty good. I just got a seat for my CRF250L and its really nice. But if you do a little searching you will find a lot of complaints about fit problems and crappy cover jobs and then they just ignore you when you complain. If it was me, I would get the Sargent and try it first before ordering a Corbin. If you don't like it you can return it for a refund. Plus they are having a sale right now, 10% off and free shipping. If you don't like your Corbin you are stuck with it. No returns and no refund.

If Wingnut is in the NYC Brooklyn, it's a long way to CA. It's a shorter ride to the FL Corbin store, but they don't do custom seats there.

I found the Sargent seat works well for me. The foam is very firm, but well shaped. The standard height one is a little lower than the stock Honda seat.

There are many other seat choices like Saddlemen, Shad, Russell, Top Sellerie, BMS, Seat Concepts, Daytona, and custom seat builders. What works for one person most likely won’t work for everyone else. I have to think that’s why Honda puts little effort into building a good seat, as it would up the cost and still wouldn’t satisfy everyone.

I’ve tried stock, Shad, Seat Concepts, Sargent, Saddlemen, and Russell Day Long, and I’m still looking.

I liked my Shad seat but found that raising the front of the seat a little was the best mod.

Fix Your NC700 Seat In 5 Minutes - Mike Mas

Shop Waxman 4-Pack 1-1/8-in Black Rubber Tips at Lowes.com

And I used something like this

Shop AMERICAN VALVE 1/2-in to 4-in dia Galvanized Hanger Iron at Lowes.com

to make a new slot above the old slot - for the tongue of the seat to slide under (using the same bolts if I remember correctly).

I'm going with the corbin. I've had them before and fooun a front for a song on ADV. If it's no good for me I'll sell it and try again. I'll let you know how it goes.
