    Big Rider and the NC700X?

I am very close to pulling the trigger on a new 2012 NC700X but I am a little concerned that I am too heavy for the bike. I am 5' 10" tall with a 32" inseam and weigh 250+ pounds.

I am too big for the NC700X? Should I look at a bigger bike?

    Thanks!

I am your same height, weigh 300 lbs. and have a 29 inch inseam. I have almost 50,000 miles on my NC7 with no problems that I did not create.

    Cool and thanks!

I really, really like the NC700X and my local dealer has an awesome deal on a new 2012 but I told myself I wouldn't buy it until I taken the rider training course!

Going to be a long couple of weeks!

You very well may benefit from having the dealer adjust (by increasing) the rear shock ride height/preload before you take the bike. Have that done as part of your bargaining to make sure it gets done, and they don't try to sneak in a seperate charge for it if you come in later after the sale.

Beware, they may claim that the shock is not adjustable. This is a fib. It is adjustable to a small degree, and very easily done at that.

should not be a problem. but use the bike as a motivation to be healthier! your tires and brakes will last longer , your mpg will increase and you will feel better!

I've got about the same measurements. 5'10" 32" inseam and I'm about 240lbs. I've got just over 25k miles on my '12 NC now and I've got no issues with it.

Another in the 5-10-240 bunch. Lowered the rear with aftermarket links. No problems maintaining speed on the freeway. In Az 75-85 mph fairly normal.

I can't believe you said that.
