Thanks, wish I was there. Living it through yawls posts.

My ticker started acting up, latest episode two weeks ago. Didn't want to get 100 miles from camp and feel the need to fall off the bike and make you guys responsible for hauling me back.
As luck would have it, I fully retire in 6 days, I'll have the time to travel, but not the heart.
Met with the surgeon this week and I'll be having another surgery in September. Hope that will give me a few years of adventures.

I'm going to let one of you guys post the event next year. Maybe I've been jinxing myself.
Dance as if no one is watching.

Hey Red, i just heard from the guy who lives right there next to GNP and he sent me the following links for you to check out and save you guys some headache and possibly change your route accordingly. There will still be a lot to see but you won't be able to get all the way to the top and over/down the other side without having to turn around. Then again, each of those roads may be closed somewhere towards the bottom. :{P

Left the garage Wednesday morning with about 100 miles on the rear tire, rode over 1250 miles by the time I got home Sunday. Scrubbed out most of the rear, and happy (very happy) with the Michellen Pilot Road 5's. They stuck to everything! Even the damp roads Friday morning.

Back of my office is not the most exotic place in the world but snapped a picture of my week-old NC with it's first 2 accessories I just installed over the weekend, Honda Centerstand and RG Radiator Protector. Both to me seems like a 'must-have' for commuting and/or touring use.2019: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?-nc750x-jpg

well, yesterday and the day before...

checked the valves, swapped tires for 705s, installed the centerstand, changed chain/sprockets

still need to refit the fender, put on a skid plate (on it's way), remove the speedohealer (since gearing is now stock), take it for a weekend ride, change the oil. then it'll be ready for Alaska.

    Givi EA116 Tank Bag

My Givi EA116 Tank Bag came in today. It's expensive for what it is ($98 USD) but adds a neat place to secure quick-to-access items such as phone, wallet, keys, etc.... The bag is made specifically for the NC frunk so it attaches securely and neatly, with retaining full abilities of the frunk door itself. It's extremely easy to clip-on and off the bike, comes with a clip-on strap the carry the bag with you when away from the bike for a extended period of time. Also comes with a rain cover. Due to the internal molded inserts, the bag is semi-ridged and keeps it's shape no matter the level of contents.

Based on my initial impressions, I foresee the bag can easily hold a couple water bottles, pair of gloves, phone (in the map/phone slot), keys, cash, wallet, bike papers, paper map, sunglasses, Leatherman multi-tool....and maybe stuff in a condom or 2 and some personal lubricant , because ya never know!!!! Also, just as a FYI...the map/phone slot window is large enough to accommodate large phablets like my Samsung Note 9, so it's super-phone size ready.

In my opinion, it's a pretty functional and attractive looking tankbag, but it's a nice-to-have vs. a must-have item.
