Ordered a Trangia 1-liter fuel bottle for camp stove and extra gas on trips.

Discovered while packing the camper for Memorial Weekend camping trip that the charcoal lighter fluid bottle cracked and leaked out all over my gear and pooled in the bottom of the storage compartment.

Had to unpack everything, hose and wipe a quart of fluid out of the compartment, and clean all the gear. I guess the new (much more durable) bottle will now be used for charcoal lighter fluid.

(2 days ago, but) installed phone mount to rail of Honda's tall windscreen. Polished, treated, and slightly tilted windscreen while I was at it.

Yep. A real pain. Nothing damaged, just a clean-up job I would’ve preferred not to do.
On the plus side, kerosene/lighter fluid is rather benign, so no danger of going up in flames with a big explosion.

Stopped for some shots with the hay bale background. About a 1/4 mile from my house.

I'd be interested in seeing some pics of the whole bike with that RD seat if you had any handy!

Today was a good day; actually, Friday wasn't half bad either - but today was more scenic!

Went to Guildford for a friend's wedding; but did so with my wife as pillion and via the back roads. Dropping a gear, lifting the visor and twisting the throttle through the long Hindhead tunnel makes a lovely noise, even with the stock exhaust!

Today's trip home was via roads I don't think anyone had travelled down for a long time; grass growing up the middle of the carriageway a foot high that forces you down the left or right by tall hedges. Found lots of quiet villages and their pubs - with a stop in a few for a quick drink (alcohol free of course!).

Finished the trip with a short stop at J&S Accessories, a motorcycle kit shop. Although Alpine DryStars are great I'm the wet they leave you sweating inside the gloves in under the sunshine - so bought some mesh gloves to use as the summer marches in.

Must have spent seven hours tootling home the long way around...

Cool pictures. I love a good ale. I'm curious, I assume your bike was the touring edition or whatever it is called, where the bags and such came factory on it. What exactly are all the differences between the touring model like yours and a plain dct model like mine? Reason I ask is I would like to buy a set of those side plates that mount on each side of the frunk that match the side plates on the bags. Anything else different with that model besides that? I just put the oem luggage kit on mine with the silver side plates on the bags.

Yeah, it comes with the wind deflector bits for your knees and feet as well, coupled with the matching pannier and front decal trim. I honestly couldn't tell you much more than that though: I bought it second hand last year from a garage in Portsmouth, but I think that's effectively the only differences. It didn't come with the touring screen: I purchased that after I'd bought the bike, as well as the cheep eBay wind deflectors for the handlebars - and at some point, I'll get some engine bars and attach some auxiliary lights to her.

Yes, her: Nicole, I call her.
