I did it myself with the Harbor Freight stapler. No problems. After about a year, I took the cover back off and carved the foam a little to remove some thickness in the back (decrease slope) and to add a coccyx valley. Reinstallation was even easier with the slightly shorter foam.

I would like to see some photos of that seat. I was thinking about doing the same!

Sorry. I haven't been very active here recently. I don't think I took any pics of the mod. The seat is still on the bike and I'm happy with how it feels. I'm selling the bike right now, if anyone is interested. 2012 NC700X for sale w/add-ons 10,000 miles, $3,000
