I was really sorry to read this this morning...he was a great rider, I've had the honor to ride with him 4 years ago in a group ride. Very smart, intelligent and captivating guy ! My condolences to family and friends.

Even I've heard of the Mad Bastard Scooter Rally. Have never been into scooters myself, but I have a fond spot in my heart for people doing fun and strange things with any kind of motorized transport, that goes against the usual utilitarian drudgery of day to day stuff.
