Anybody done the LA/Barstow/Vegas Thanksgiving Weekend Ride?

I came across the annual Los Angeles/Barstow to Los Vegas on ADVPulse and wondered if anyone has done this on a NC700x?

Not that I've seen. I haven't dug too deeply into ride reports from it, but I get the distinct impression that the LAB2V is not NC friendly. Literally read four posts on the ADVrider thread before I found a caution against adventure bikes.

Thought about that kind of ride but after Just getting back from Vegas yesterday (with my truck), the thought cleared my mind. ITS FREEZING OUT THERE!!!
