Both your bikes look great. I have been doing some reading about rain in Alaska. Major wake up call. The two dry months are May and June. The two wet months are July and August. You have gone at a good time. I believe I am going to leave this week, instead on next month. Beamerphile told me about the mud on the Dalton, so I believe I need to leave now also.
Also, saw all the paid escorted trips go in May and June. Figured rain is the reason. I should finish prep tomorrow and I'm also riding.

Instead of going the Colorado way, I believe I'll go ride Hwy 1 in California up to Washington. Time consuming, but all I've got is time. Then I'll come back threw Colorado. After that Sturgis, and then The Blue Ridge. More laid back this way, and hopefully dry in Alaska. Be looking for your adventure here, have a great ride.

By the sticker on your windshield I see you are a real biker -AMA.

Have a great trip! If you get a chance, stop in Fairbanks at an ice cream shop called 'Hot Licks'. It's so good, my wife and I went there on their last day of the season (late September) in coats and hats. Look forward to your report and pictures...I miss that place!
