As a newbie here I hope I am posting in the right area.

I have a new 700X and am trying to fit the sub harness for accessories but cannot work out what panels need to come off to find the connector already on the bike and off course how.

I have after a few minutes head scratching worked out how those strange plastic pins work , getting them out easy peasy but resetting them so that they go back taxed my mind for quite a while. I did wonder if I can take the complete inner front tank out but theres screws and plasticky things all over the place.

Any and all help appreciated .

I'm going off of a guess here, but isn't it all tied off of the fuse box that is next to the battery? If so, the batter box cover is removed after taking out the two screws inside the frunk. (fake tank, Front trunk)

I have found that part and when I can get the fuse cover off , I have bad arthritis in my hands hence the DCT cos I cant use a clutch any more, will fit the relay and fuse . But its the connector for the sub harness that I need to get to. What used to take me seconds to undo a screw is now a full blown saga.

You need the instruction sheets for the sub harness, heat grips, power plug etc............and or the shop manual..................they all show the location of the fasteners. The first time is a challenge after that its no big deal.

The connector is under the left cowl cover. The left side cover must be removed.

Here's a link to the location:

Read through the other posting you can find the info needed......many have traveled this route and it is well documented

more info: this is for the light bar but shows the left side cover fasteners etc
