Hey guys, I'm not sure what's going on, but it's the second time I got the page redirected to a porn site, without clicking any ad or anything... was the site hacked? Did that already happen to someone else? It's kind of annoying/irritating, especially when browsing the forums at work...

Yup. It has nothing to do with this site. The fact that you don't even click anything is the giveaway. For starters, you should remove your browser and all cookies, browsing history, form data etc related to it. I would run antivirus software for this. However, you should do a google search defining the exact site you are being directed to. There may be more specific solutions for your individual issue. Good luck.

Your browser has been hijacked.
You need to look for advice online like: "I am redirected to different websites..."

I doubt it, firstly I'm on a Mac, secondly I have no plug-ins installed except Adobe Flash, which I always load/update from Adobe themselves, no extension installed, and finally I had the same problem on another mac yesterday.

What I believe happens is, some ads in the forums succeeds in redirecting to these pages. I suspect the code dealing with the ads not to be secure, but only the forum owner/admin could check that.

PS: I'm an IT guy, which doesn't mean I'm necessarily totally fool-proof, but I've never been hacked/got viruses on the various computers I use, since I'm using personal computers - I'm probably a bit paranoid even :)

Well I disabled Flash on nc700-forum.com. Pretty sure that's the one to blame, not the first time it will have a vulnerability anyway and it's pretty much useless lately.

I just viewed this site on many different browsers (5 PC, 3 Android, 1 Safari on iPad Mini 2 w/OS X) without problem.
You may experience "specific case of Mac hijacking".

It only happened twice... I suspect ONE ad, that redirected to lexuee.com both times, which is supposed to be a study site, according to my investigations, but which, itself, seems to have been hacked...

Well, someday someone else may notice it too. I'm pretty sure my Mac is malware free. And it won't happen anymore since flash is now off on nc700, as mentioned. :)

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I am running current virus software and do not have any browser plug-ins installed. I noticed that since two days ago the forum site keeps redirecting and reloading in strange ways. My browser history will show the same page dozens of times, without the page actually having changed. When I go back a page, like to the home page, it will keep reloading and send me back to the thread I was reading unless I actively stop the browser (click the X at the top left). I was very shocked to see the porn site. I immediately scanned my computer.

THANKS! At least someone now believes me :D

if you don't have any plugin installed - not even flash - then the only plausible explanation I can see is, the SITE itself was hacked - which is always a possibility, believe me... @Admin - who is apparently a guy from my neighbourhood - should check...

Happened to me this morning when I first went to the site on my work computer. Wasn't a porn site but I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to what site it sent me to. I thought I'd accidently clicked on something.

I never install this kind of anti-malwares and ad-blockers, which usually harm more than repair... All the less if free!!!

this is actually a reputable program. Another one that you'd be quick to dismiss because of its name is SUPERAntiSpyware which is basically indispensable and well worth the money if you need it in a professional context

there are so many forms of malware and they do NOT all operate through installed plug-ins. Further, just because one specific anti-spyware/malware/virus program or suite does not detect one does not mean one is not there.

Happened to me, on my Chrome browser, but I saw no porn.
My redirect was to mwave dot com.
since it does not happen on other sites, it does point to the
server that hosts this bulletin software.
Definitely a flag for the admin.

Happened to me today. I thought I clicked the new post button on a thread...where did that come from...
I use a chromebook so not much of an operating system.

It's probably an advertisement. I've had it happen on several sites.
My virus checker scans everything before loading and I've performed full scans with multiple anti-spyware tools.
Nothing.
I added entries to my adblocker and I think that did the trick.

I had the exact same thing happen to me this morning  Needless to say it was a bit disconcerting...

Ironically, I had just completed a periodic full 5 hour long full scan during the night to check for any bad stuff potentially lurking in my computer. Clean bill of health.

Then, first site, first click, and *boom* we get professional nether regions being violated up close and personal right in yer face, instead of windshield installations, and what tires last longer, lol

A few hours later, I get a bizarre robotic voice mail left on my phone, purportedly from the CRA Income Tax Fraud division, with "Officer Robertson" demanding me or my attorney return this call immediately, or penalties and blah blah blah will cause much grief and general mayhem to my life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" etc. (paraphrased)

I Googled the phone number, and sure enough, it had already been reported as a new scam trying to trick people into paying a fee using their credit card, to prevent massive fines or jail and so on, thinking they were in trouble with the tax man.

Sheesh, what a world we live in :/

When I loaded this very thread to see the new replies, I was redirected repeatedly to some sort of electrical parts website. At least it wasn't porn this time. I guess I will have to try an adblocker to read the forums uninterrupted.
