I bought these, the long version. The edges are a lot more squared off than the OEM but they are 'taller' and I find them more comfortable and easy to use. I also think the leverage on both the brake and clutch are slightly different from OEM which makes the clutch and brake lighter to pull...
I don't really believe the road crown stuff, faster sweeping left turns I do. I have had this on at least one of my bikes, it was extremely evident on dual compound tires. I think they were Metzelers. I hate Metzelers.
My guess is that it will be easier to get a regular charger / battery tender with the standard SAE power plug (much more common) and get an adapter from Amazon.
Search "SAE to coaxial" on google. Always make sure your polarity is correct!
I did exactly what you suggested.
The bulkhead socket version in the frunk and a weather resistant one up the left fairing support for my handlebar mount. The latter tucks in to the fairing and can be pulled out about 4" to connect my charging cables.
Still good to find out why. I don't do DCT but maybe:
1) Not enough voltage to shift
2) Not enough oil pressure in trans
3) Just a little sticky from sitting
It's competing with the already idiotic R1300GS... and it's a Harley. It's a nice ride (the Pan Am, won't touch BMW again), I demoed it last fall, but also 100% not for me.
Covid. People bought bikes (among many other things) at a premium that they no longer want and/or no longer want to pay for. It's going to be a buyer's market soon.
Which dealer? I'm looking LOL.
I just used washers and nylon lock nuts on the back side. It's been good for the past 6 years. A little tricky to get in, but certainly not impossible.
I have done 375 mile days (600km) with a passenger on the NC700X. We stopped for breaks along the way but everything was fine. I ride 200 miles (320km) in a day on the weekends alone and it's a nice 5-6 hours.
We do not have the Veradero in the US. It sounds like it's bigger and has a lot more...
I think it's a fine option but also agree it's not a touring bike. If you are ok going 60-70mph and your passenger will put up with the average back seat, it will tour just fine. It's a great bike, but not really meant for touring. We have done a few multi-day trips on the NC, everything worked...
Based on your post and the answers seen here. You'll want a 2021 or newer NC750X because it has a lower seat height and weighs less, if you are ok with the technology package.
