I was caught today with a non-opening rear seat when doing my errands. I used the short cable and hook supplied with the bike to hook my helmet as I do often. This time, it looks like the bump of the cable under the left side of the seat was too much for the seat opening mechanism. Fortunately, I could use my safety rope to open the jammed seat. This is a tip I had on this site. I don't remember who's the "inventor" but this is another occurrence where I appreciate the good and relevant information we can find on this site.
